Home Thought for the Week December 7, 2009
December 7, 2009

The snow flakes on the Christmas tree in the Lodge are artificial, but outside they are real and driven through the forest by the wind. Barkhoo's first experience in the snow was fun to watch, he stood there, watching as the flakes made the wind visible! Back inside the warmth of the fireplace radiates into the great room and the smell of Sandy's baking is so inviting to come stay a while and partake of God's blessings. She has become much more mobile, still a bit frustrated at times because of the need for crutches, but counting the days until the movement restrictions, imposed by the surgeon, are lifted!

Still looking for a present for the one that already has all the stuff? How about a donation to Shepherd's Refuge instead? Click the "Donation" button, add a note for who it is and we will be glad to send an acknowledgement to that person, as long as we receive it before December 18.

For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.  Psalm 27:5
