This summer is coming to an end, at least when we look at the calendar. The heat has been with us, and the springs storms gave way to a much drier season. This allowed much work to be done outside, moving forward with the Selah Cabin construction. The in-ground power line was installed which will eventually feed all five cabins. The water line is also buried, leading into a reservoir located in the Pump House at a higher elevation, which will also be sufficient for all planned cabins. The Selah Cabin construction is moving along, based on the availability of volunteers, and donated materials. The need to get the Selah Cabin up and running has never been more urgent than right now. Too many requests have to be turned down, and we see in the pastors and missionaries we are able to serve a hunger like never before to seek the Lord for direction, wisdom and strength. If you have read this and the Lord is urging you to get involved, please consider making a donation so that we can make a difference in the lives of pastors, missionaries, their families and the congregations they serve, encouraging them to keep up the good work. "I needed some time alone to pray and rest, and this setting was perfect for that purpose. The beauty and the quiet were very refreshing, the hosts were very sensitive to fellowship, but also allow me to isolate myself with the Lord. Being here has been such a blessing, and I hope to return." (Missionary in Russian orphanage, recent guest) |
